English is our first language, and it is used in all campus activities. Classes from the American curriculum are taught in English.

Secondary School Deputy Principal
The Pan American School of Bahia is looking for a visionary junior learning leader for our Secondary School program to begin in July 2024. The primary responsibility of the Deputy Principal is to work collaboratively in support of the Secondary Principal to further the ideals of the school mission, vision, and core values through leadership of the curriculum, learning programs, student achievement, school organization, and leadership of staff.
Minimum Requirements:
- Master’s degree in educational leadership or curriculum
- Internationally recognized teaching qualification
- At least two years of school leadership experience
- Understanding of the philosophy of the PYP and IBDP programs
- Experience, understanding, and commitment to accreditation self-study
- Record of effective leadership and management
- Understanding of documentation and best practices in reporting
- Understanding of working in an English Language Learning environment and an ability to lead differentiation of instruction
- Commitment to child protection
- An awareness of emotional intelligence that transfers into respecting self and others, as well as strong communication skills
- Ability to communicate in accordance with the PASB code of ethics
